Samsung Vs Beko Dishwashers

Probably the best comparison for a $500 dishwasher is Samsung and Beko for two reasons.

First, KitchenAid, Bosch, and Miele do not have any models at that price. Bosch technically does, but it's not available.

Secondly, both Samsung and Beko have dishwashers available, which is a definite plus.

Both are good dishwashers. In this article, we'll compare Beko and Samsung's basic dishwasher models for under $500 as well as their best dishwashers over $1000.

Both dishwashers have interesting features worth considering.

First, let's answer the question of who is Beko?

Introduction to Beko Appliances

Beko is a Turkish manufacturer sold in 140 countries. You may be familiar with Blomberg in the U.S., who makes Beko appliances. Beko also manufactures dishwashers for Viking.

Beko, like Whirlpool, is an appliance-only manufacturer. Samsung is a conglomerate with appliances being a small part of their portfolio.

This is a good inexpensive dishwasher option for rental properties or someone who isn't looking for all the bells and whistles.

It does run a little louder at 55 decibels but will still get the job done.

Cleaning bigger dishware, like pots and pans, could be a challenge due to very limited rack adjustability. This model is more designed for regular tableware.

What Samsung and Beko Have in Common:

First, both have a surprising amount of cycles for an inexpensive dishwasher plus plenty of options.

Both hold the same amount of place settings as well.

How Samsung and Beko Differ:

There are two major differences.

Dishwasher Sound Level

Beko is 48 decibels (dB) while Samsung is 55 dB. The minimum standard of quietness is 44 dB so that you will hear both.

However, Beko will be much quieter.

Here is what a 44 and 55 dB dishwasher sounds like.

Composition of the Tub

Beko will be all stainless, whereas Samsung has a stainless door and plastic tub. Plastic and stainless both hold water.

However, plastic is porous, so you have to clean the tub occasionally to remove odors. Stainless is non-porous.

Which Dishwasher Should You Buy Under $500?

It depends. We will talk about reliability later in the article.

At the $20 price difference, Beko seems like a better product. However, Samsung is promotional, so its price can dip below $400 during the year.

For a $100 difference? It's hard to know and depends on a rental property or a dishwasher for your own home.

Now let's look at some cool technology.

What Samsung and Beko Dishwashers Have in Common:

Except for maybe Miele, you are looking at the two most advanced dishwashers available.

Dishwasher Sound Level

They are both 39 dB, so they are silent and amongst the quietest dishwashers you can buy.

Third Racks

Both have third racks for silverware. You can also store more on the bottom rack without the silverware basket.

Wi-Fi

You can control your dishwasher on your phone through an app on both Beko or Samsung.

How Samsung and Beko Dishwashers Differ:

Samsung Linear Wash System with AquaBlast Jets

Samsung-Dishwasher-Linear-Aqua-Blast-Samsung Linear Wash System with AquaBlast Jets

The Samsung dishwasher is different from any other dishwasher providing a wall of water blasted from an arm moving back and forth at the bottom of  the dishwasher rather than the traditional spinners.

You also have a Zone Booster on the back left for extra cleaning power.

Beko AquaIntense Wash System

Beko-Dishwasher-With-AquaIntenseBeko AquaIntense Wash System

Beko has a similar wash system with its "AquaIntense" feature. Beko uses the traditional spinners plus an additional rotating head at the bottom for extra cleaning power.

Beko IonGuard

Beko also has IonGuard. It sends out negatively charged ions to neutralize the positive ions of odors.

Which Dishwasher Should You Buy Over Over $1000?

Invariable, they will both clean your dishwashers, and, ironically, they are similar in racking, quietness, and cycles.

Beko is normally less expensive, while Samsung will be about the same or a little less on promotion.

Samsung Vs. Beko Dishwashers: Which has Better Service?

Service is a big problem for both manufacturers. The problem is easy to understand.

Neither company has a service, so you have to figure out who will fix your dishwasher before you buy it.

In certain areas, that could be extremely hard.

Samsung Vs. Beko Dishwasher: Key Takeaways

You should buy a brand where you have a greater comfort level. If you don't want an off-brand, then Samsung should be your choice.

However, comfort should be considered in two other ways.

First, you should consider what is available. Both Samsung and Beko have done a commendable job with availability for the most part. That will change through 2021.

Secondly, which will be repaired faster? Service availability does change depending on where you live.

As for the dishwashers, both are good choices.

The Beko is a bit better at $499 because it's all stainless and has quieter washing cycles.

Just over $1000, you are looking at the two best technologically driven dishwashers on the market.

Like we said earlier, both will wash your dishes, but you need to see which one can be easily repaired locally.
