For the last few Sundays, we decided to briefly introduce a product through video. Links to related articles are provided below if you want to learn more...

The Miele MasterChef wall oven has always been technologically advanced with their simple to use MasterChef controls. It automatically sets time and temperature for the most common types of foods. You can also program your own foods as well.

The best part of any Miele product is its reliability. Miele is the most reliable product sold at Yale at under 5% service visits within the first year. The average service visits for the industry is 20-25% based on our own 25,000 service calls made in 2013.

I saw the new Miele two months ago in their headquarters at Princeton, New Jersey. They had different loaves of freshly made bread. At that time, I had no idea why. I am recently somewhat gluten free, so it was painful. I love bread.

New Miele M Series MasterChef Plus Wall Oven

One of the main features ofthis oven is its bread making ability. You have 15 different automatic modes to cook bread alone. You can add that to the 19 different automatic programs.

The real differences in this years product is an even more robust control system. You can control inside and outside temperature. It also has twin convection like Wolf and Jenn-Air for more even cooking. You can also plumb this to cook with steam for more healthy cooking (I have to see this work). In late 2014-15, you can hook this to Remote Vision and Miele can monitor the oven for irregularities.

Miele vs. Dacor, Wolf and Others

As we have written in other articles, wall ovens are changing. Miele will be able to compete just on reliability. The MasterChef Plus has some nice innovations. It will not be as technologically advanced as the Android enabled Dacor, which will email you on cycle completion or play music or allow you to find recipes on the internet from its control panel.

Wolf is reinventing convection with a new fan system due sometime in 2015. Thermador and Jenn-Air will be relaunching as well. Finally, you will have options in wall ovens. Miele is certainly a legitimate one.
