Buying a wall oven was so simple years ago. They all had single convection and you would usually pick a Thermador or Jenn-Air depending on almost the of the salesperson or the experiences of your neighbors
Now wall ovens are the most exciting product to buy for your kitchen. There are all types of convection systems. Most have one touch controls. Others are Wi-Fi-enabled. You can pretty much cook on auto-pilot automatically.
Miele
The M Touch was the first one-touch control system. In the video, we will be comparing the new MasterChef to a new generation of wall ovens from Wolf, Jenn-Air, and Dacor.
In some ways, the features of Miele are still the best. However, they are no longer your only considerations as outlined in the short video below.
Key Features:
- 4.6 cu. ft. Capacity Ovens
- M Touch Controls
- 19 Operating Modes

Miele has updated their MasterChef wall oven. We will look at the features and compare it to some of its competitors like Wolf, Dacor, Jenn-Air.
Miele has always been on the forefront of technology and were first with simple, one touch controls. All you have to do is pick a product like meat, it will prompt you for type of meat and how you want it prepared. Then press start. There are literally hundreds of items and even automatic recipes for you to try.
Many manufacturers now have similar functionality. Wolf has their touch controls. Jenn-Air probably has the most robust with their cuisine center. It will also show you how the food looks after it has been cooked.
In addition, Jenn-Air and Dacor have Wi-Fi capability, so some functions can be controlled remotely. Want to turn the oven down at your child’s soccer game, a Wi-Fi-enabled oven will allow you to do so. As of yet, Miele is not Wi-Fi-enabled.
However, Miele is the only wall oven with steam functionality. Steam is essential especially in breadmaking. In fact you have 15 Automatic programs just for different breads. So if you want to bake brioche or sourdough, pick the button. You can even adjust for how well-done you want the crust.
Miele also offers a rotisserie in two twin convection ovens. The only better convection system would be the Wolf, which has blowers instead of fans, delivering more air for the most consistent baking.
Still, when you compare Miele to almost every other wall oven, it has the best functionality. And with steam, it will allow you to bake and cook in ways the others cannot.
