Fresh Hold
The washer has a fan installed allowing the machine to have a Fresh Hold option. In other words, you can leave your clothes in the washing machine after the cycle.
The fan will run and spin the clothes every 30 minutes to keep clothes fresh and unwrinkled for up to 24 hours.

As with the previous series, Maytag, made in Michigan, still has the overnight wash & dry cycle.
For example, your child has a baseball game on a Friday evening with another Saturday morning. This cycle will allow you to wash his/ her jersey and pants overnight.
At the end of the wash cycle, the clothes will spin to pre-dry the clothes. That same fan will then run overnight and the uniform will dry throughout the night.
You do not have to wake up and transfer the clothes from washer to dryer.
Maytag has also improved the load and go dispenser. In the previous series, the detergent receptacle could be removed for filling and then put back in.
Unfortunately, that made the odds of breaking a little too easy. The 8630 still has the load and go, but it cannot be removed.
You just fill your detergent. The drum of the washer acts as a production scale of sorts. It weighs the number of clothes and determines water as well as detergent usage.
You can load up to 12 loads depending on how much clothing you wash at a time.
This is key because people load too much detergent. You do not want to overdo your detergent in a front load washer. The machine then over suds and eats away at the bearings. Then the whole tub will need to be replaced.
With this dispenser, you will never use too much.
Dryer
In the dryer, the stainless steel drum is an overlooked feature (most people look at just the washer). Stainless steel conducts heat better allowing for quicker drying cycles and more efficient air movement. You can also add steam into the dryer to help reduce wrinkles in your clothing.
Lastly, Maytag has added Wi-Fi compatibility in these appliances. You don’t have to walk down to your laundry room to see if your laundry is done. You can just view the time remaining on your phone through an app.
