Miele and GE are two very different companies occupying the very high end appliance niche. Every notable feature about these two companies is different from manufacturing, marketing to even distribution.
Both are compelling, but it really depends on what you value.
Miele
Miele is a German family owned company that prides themselves in quality
control. They make almost all their own parts and hold themselves to the
highest standards. When it comes to style...they do it well, flush and sexy is
the motive.
Seriously, reliability is the best part of the Miele line. In a world of outsourcing, Miele still manufactures 96.8% of its components in their one German factory. This devotion to manufacturing excellence results in the least repairs out of any product sold at Yale.
GE Monogram
GE Monogram is the premium line of GE with production facilities based in Louisvile, Kentucky and around the globe. Their strength is their name recognition as the number 5 largest company in the world.
GE Monogram is sold and marketed through the builder channel and to their own employees, whereas Miele is sold through a dealer base.

To be transparent, we do not sell any GE products, so I have not been following the specs. The GE Monogram looks like the old trivection products we used to sell, but it is easy to use. I always loved their touch screen. GE Monogram will have rebates, whereas Miele never does.
Miele, however, is incredibly intuitive as almost every food imaginable is preprogrammed into the oven. Just add the food type and weight. Miele is also demonstratively better in the reliability category as well.
So it really depends. What do you think?
