Ah, the Yale Tent Sale. Since the passing of the Filene's Basement Bridal Run, the Tent Sale is the last of these types of sales. If you have never been to one of these, it's a 3-hour mad grab. Yet it's totally worth it.

You can save a ton of money on this sale starting at 20% and up to 60% with a full manufacturer's warranty.

The Tent Sale is not about new appliances. It is our clearing of floor displays, discontinued products/vendors, and slow-moving products as well as scratch and dent appliances. There will be over 600 appliances in the sale this year.

The Tent Sale is Saturday, May 5th from 8 AM to 11 AM and is located at our Stoughton Warehouse, 75 Campanelli Pkwy, Stoughton, MA. This sale will be the largest in our Tent Sale history.

Below is a very small example of the new crated appliances in this years. Each item has multiples, but you have to be early to buy one.

Most of you have inquired about Speed Queen. We have 6 sets of washers and dryers at $999 for both. There are 41 of the Whirlpool stainless dishwashers at $199.

The Tent Sale Formula

Every day we will have between 70-150 deliveries with an average of 2.5 appliances per stop. We do free site checks for tight spots, send video detailing actual deliveries, and maintain the most capable delivery crew in the business.

However, a piece or two per day will not be able to be delivered or won't fit. Multiply that by 300 delivery days, add a year's worth of gently dented products, discontinued vendors, slow-moving products, bad buying decisions, returns, and other assorted stuff, and you have a recipe for a pretty decent sale.

We also don't charge restocking charges for returned yet sale-able pieces (almost every other store will charge 25% or more if they allow returns at all). Instead, we sell them consistently in our outlet and once a year we move them to a tent in our parking lot.

A Couple of FAQs:

What are the brands included?

Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Frigidaire, Samsung, Whirlpool, LG, Electrolux, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, BlueStar, and Bosch among others are included in our Tent Sale.

What appliance types will be included?

You will be able to find any appliance from a professional range, built-in refrigerator to laundry, cooking, and dishwashers. If we sell it new, that appliance and brand will probably be in the Tent Sale.

Are the products under warranty?

All items are fully warrantied (we perform the service free for the first year) However, the appliances come as is. There are plenty of new overstock, but some others will have a scratch or dent.

Can the Tent Sale appliances be delivered?

The normal delivery charge of $79 applies. This includes delivery and removal of your old appliance. You must take delivery within 10 business days.

What are the average discounts?

20% for some. There will be some others at 40-60% off depending on the issue.

Will Yale hold the appliances or have a layaway available?

Not for this sale. First come, First served.

Is lighting included?

Not for this event.

When is the best time to arrive for this sale?

This year will be an early 8 am start. So, arrive early. Very early. Most of this will be gone by 11 if not sooner. This is really a 3-hour sale, tops. We don't like wasting your time.

There are some pretty compelling products. I would recommend you generate a list of products you are interested in, come early, and move quickly. Your savings will be considerable.

Can You Buy Multiple Quantities?

Some items will be one per household. No dealers allowed.

I will respond to comments and update this article Friday if you have further questions.

A few review sites have placed this at the bottom of their articles. So here is our take: Our mission is to find reliable products for you to buy. Other review sites may say this as well.

However, we don’t love every product. Quite frankly, it costs us way too much money in repair costs to support less reliable brands.

In fact, we sell fewer brands than most appliance stores. Here is why:

We feel it is our responsibility to repair your appliances after you buy them.

We now have 30 service technicians, each averaging 8-10 calls a day Monday through Friday, plus another 110 on Saturday. That's over 30,000 service calls logged in one year.

The labor rates of fixing an appliance do not come close to the true cost in any product’s warranty period.

That is why no major retailer has a service department. It costs too much labor, money and time.

Our Blog is a bit different than most others you will read. We cannot write glowing reviews of unreliable products.

Hopefully, the bloggers and organizations who write such glowing product reviews for every brand consider servicing these products first. Only then they will understand the consequences of their marketing.

My goal has always been simple: I want Yale to be the best retail experience anywhere. I have tried to create a compelling environment for customers and employees alike.
