Our Annual Yale Tent Sale is Saturday, May 6th, 2017

by Steve Sheinkopf

Ah, the Yale Tent Sale. Since the passing of the Filene's Basement Bridal Run, the Tent Sale is the last of these types of sales. If you have never been to one of these, it's a 2-3 hour mad grab. Yet it's totally worth it.

You can save a ton of money in one of these. We are not really a sales-driven company. With all the internet transparency, you have to be competitive year round.

Then again, the Tent Sale is not about new items, but floor displays, discontinued products/vendors, and scratch and dent products, all for low prices - typically 25-50% off our selling prices.

The Tent Sale will be in our Dorchester location only.

You are Not Alone in Thinking Most Appliance Warranties are a Scam

by Steve Sheinkopf

I remember peering into the window of an appliance store years ago. There was a big sign offering 5-year warranties for $59 anywhere in the United States. So if a Sub-Zero or even a front load washer purchased in Boise, Idaho from a store in Mass, it will be fixed for basically nothing?

Forget Boise, how about Boston.
