You probably can’t or don’t want to leave your home right now. So for shopping, you go online, look at some pictures, read some blogs, and look at store reviews.

That’s smart.

However, there is a new and more effective way to shop, and not just for appliances, but for cars, furniture or any durable product.

It’s video calling. Short on time? Get our free Appliance Buying GuideLearn More

By using video calling, you can see and compare products while talking to a qualified salesperson.

In a video call, for example, you can see thousands of appliances at Yale, kitchen tables from a furniture store, as well as different display ideas.

Better yet, you can see if that salesperson is qualified during this call. They can’t read from specifications or look it up online in a video call.

In this article, you will learn how to do a video call, even without the latest software. You will also see what a video call looks like.

A video call will help you whether you are starting a project, looking for a replacement appliance or making final selections to the whole kitchen.

How To Set Up A Video Call

Many companies have video calling set up on their website. Here it is on ours:

For stores that do not, you would need the phone number of the salesperson. If you have an iPhone, iPad or Mac, you use Facetime.

If you have an Android-based product like Samsung, LG, or Google Pixel, then download Google Duo.

It’s like Facetiming your mom or kid only with a salesperson.

What Does A Video Call Look Like?

It looks like any other business call. The salesperson becomes your browser. You want to look at 30 dishwashers, 100 different refrigerators or pro ranges?

It's simple to do like your screen is walking through the store.

Video is not the same as touching and feeling, but it's the closest thing to it.

Virtual Tours: Differences and Benefits

A virtual tour is like a video call only without a salesperson. You can virtually walk through a store without talking or interacting with anyone.

Google financed these at one time. Most stores have a virtual store. Most of these are quite good. You will have a good idea of what a store looks like by clicking on one of these

For example, these are the Yale virtual tours:

Virtual stores are a good way to start your project or look up a brand or product. It doesn’t give you the differences like a video call.

Video calling: Key Takeaways

You don’t have to be the head of IT. It’s simple and will save you time.

Video is effective for any type of purchase or consideration from comparisons to seeing if that floor model has a scratch at 20% off.

I think it will change how we shop for almost everything in the future.
