Your Refrigerator Works Hardest in Summer. Get It Ready Now.
Prevent Costly Breakdowns with Expert Spring Cleaning Service - Only $399.99 (a $50 savings for a limited time).
Why Spring Cleaning Matters for Every Refrigerator
Here's what most people don't realize: your refrigerator's condenser works overtime from May through September. Dust, pet hair, and kitchen grease build up on the coils, forcing the compressor to run harder, longer, and hotter. That's how a $399 maintenance visit turns into a $1,000+ emergency repair in July — when every technician in Greater Boston is already booked.
We complete 33,000+ service calls a year. We know exactly which problems show up every summer, and most of them are preventable. Our Spring Cleaning service is a proactive inspection and cleaning performed by the same factory-trained technicians who service your appliance under warranty.
This isn't a sales pitch. It's maintenance — the kind that keeps your food cold and your repair bill at zero.

How It Works
A spring tune-up takes about an hour and can save you hundreds in emergency repairs this summer. Here's how it works.
1. Book Your Appointment
Pick a date and time that works for you using our online calendar. Appointments fill quickly in spring, so book early for your preferred window.
2. Prep Your Refrigerator
Clear a path to your fridge (36 inches is ideal). No need to empty shelves — our technicians work around your food. Just make sure the area is accessible.
3. We Clean, Inspect, and Test
Your technician performs a full condenser cleaning, replaces your water filter, and runs a comprehensive checklist to catch any issues before summer hits.
4. Get Your Report
You'll receive a summary of everything we checked, what we cleaned, and any recommendations — plus peace of mind heading into the hottest months.
What You Get with Spring Cleaning
Every Spring Cleaning appointment includes a full condenser cleaning, filter replacement, and multi-point inspection — performed by the same factory-trained technicians who handle your warranty service.
Detailed Condenser Cleaning
Dust and debris on your condenser coils are the #1 cause of summer breakdowns. Our technicians clean them thoroughly so your compressor doesn't overheat.
Water Filter Replacement
We bring the correct filter for your specific model and replace it on-site. Clean water, better ice, one less thing on your to-do list.
Comprehensive Inspection
A multi-point checklist covers temperature accuracy, door seals, drainage, fan operation, and more. We catch small problems before they become expensive ones.
Factory-Trained Technicians
Every technician is a Yale employee — CORI-certified and factory-trained on the brands we sell and service. Not a contractor. Not a generalist.
Stainless Steel Cleaning Kit
Complimentary premium stainless steel cleaner included with every appointment. Your fridge will look as good as it runs.
Multi-Unit Discount
Have more than one refrigerator? Book them together and save. Wine columns, undercounter units, and full-size models all qualify.
Avoid the Summer Rush
Our service department gets slammed June through August. Spring Cleaning customers get priority scheduling and skip the 2-3 week wait times that hit every summer.
What Our Customers Say
I purchased a Sub-Zero refrigerator/Freezer 4 years ago and, for the first time, today I had Yale Appliance in for "Spring Cleaning" annual maintenance. Our serviceman vacuumed out the accumulated dust from the condensor, performed a software update and a complete check-up (using computer diagnostics) and replaced the filters. I'm definitely going to do this every year. Thank you, Yale!

Common Questions
Have questions about the Spring Cleaning service? Here are the ones we hear most.
What brands do you service?
We service every brand we sell — Sub-Zero, Thermador, Miele, Bosch, GE, JennAir, KitchenAid, LG, Samsung, Fisher & Paykel, Liebherr, True, and dozens more. If you bought it from Yale, we service it.
How much does Spring Cleaning cost?
Pricing starts at $399.99 for standard refrigerator cleaning (a $50 savings for a limited time). Pricing may vary based on your specific model and service needs. Multi-unit discounts are available when you book more than one refrigerator in the same visit.
How long does the appointment take?
Plan for about 60 minutes per unit. Your technician won't rush — they'll clean, inspect, and test everything properly. For multiple units booked together, we'll schedule enough time to do them all.
Do I need to empty my refrigerator?
No. Our technicians work around your food. Just make sure there's a clear path to the appliance (about 36 inches) and that the area around the coils is accessible.
Is this the same as a repair visit?
No. Spring Cleaning is preventative maintenance — not a substitute for a service call. If your refrigerator is currently having a problem (not cooling, making noise, leaking), call our service department at 617-825-9253 to schedule a repair.
When should I book?
March through May is ideal. Our service calendar fills up fast once warm weather hits, and summer appointments can have 2-3 week wait times. The earlier you book, the more availability you'll have.
What happens if your technician finds a problem during the cleaning?
They'll tell you exactly what they found, explain your options, and give you an honest assessment of whether it needs attention now or can wait. No surprise charges — any additional work beyond the Spring Cleaning scope would be quoted separately and scheduled with your approval.
