Makover Monday: Our Marketing Director, Pat, said he wants topics readers can expect. So, every Monday, I want to show you an updated and relevant appliance, lighting or plumbing tip. We will be using real examples for inspiration. I hope you like it.
I traveled with a service tech on Wednesday and was in 9 homes. I saw a bunch of kitchens, and have a really good tip for you.
Subway tile is all the rage. You see it in many restaurants, especially French bistros.
It's very clean and it matches many different styles, but look very closely at both. Pay special attention to the outlets, I circled both.

Now, let's look at this tile back very closely.

You do not see any outlets. It has a great look, doesn’t it. But where are the outlets?

They are part of the Legrand under cabinet lighting system. Placing this system under a cabinet will save the electricians time and your money. It will also look much better.
You can also mount an iPad docking station as well as run your music through BlueTooth.

Well that’s all for the first Makeover Monday. Let me know if you have any suggestions or comments for next week. If you are a designer or have just renovated your home, I will be happy to share any interesting ideas.
BTW, our Home Show is this weekend. You will see some great cooking demos and some great ideas as well. Click here for more info.
