The two newest systems for under cabinet lighting are LED Tape and the Legrand under cabinet system. Both provide low profile LED lighting, but are very different in application. Functionality as well as new vs. old construction really determine the best system for your application. I like them both for different reasons.

Which is Better?
After seeing both displayed in our showroom, you can see the differences in installation between the LED tape and Legrand under cabinet lighting. I would recommend using LED tape for inside the cabinet, cove, and soffit illuminations because of its flexibility and visibility. LED Tape uses high output LEDs for maximum brightness. This unique LED tape provides easy and simple installations. It’s made from a highly flexible material that can be applied to most surfaces using 3M double-sided tape. In other words, this is simple to install and will provide great lighting in your kitchen.
For new construction, the best option has to be the Legrand system because it provides convenience of relocating power outlets, LED lighting, USB charging, and digital music. The Legrand system also disappears under any size cabinet that’s 12” or deeper. I personally like the idea of walking into my kitchen and playing music from my Phone using Bluetooth for the digital music kit. You can have music, outlets, USB charging, LED lights, and a mobile cradle all in one with this Legrand under cabinet system.
LED Tape is easier to install, but in every other aspect look at the Legrand, it truly is amazing (watch the video).
It seems that every appliance review has nothing but glowing comments about almost every product, yet you read customer reviews and they are almost universally bad.
