For the last few years, Black Friday has been the best time to buy a major appliance - with discounts of 10-40%.

Last year, tariffs lessened the discounts. This year, Black Friday is back, but only in specific product categories with different manufacturers.

In other categories, it will be worth waiting until Presidents' Day or another promotional period.

In this article, you will learn what brands, single products, and packages to consider for the best deals and discounts.

We will also share the 20 best appliances and packages to consider that you can find at any store. You won't have to stand in lines for 12 hours.

Let's get started.

Black Friday Deals At Yale Appliance [VIDEO]

Like many retailers, our promotions will start on Black Friday itself.

Here is what we will be promoting November 29 through December 2nd:

  • Receive up to $1,200 in store credit with purchases of select appliance brands
  • $99 dishwasher installs* on the most popular Bosch and KitchenAid dishwashers
  • 10% off all decorative lighting, 30% off all in-stock lighting
  • 0% financing with 12 monthly payments

Maybe I am alerting our competitors (hi there!). However, it should not be a secret at this point. If they can out-execute us, then they deserve your business.

That's for you to decide.

First, let’s go over appliance brands not participating in Black Friday promotions 2019.

Appliance Brands Not Participating In Black Friday Promotions

Most of the premium brands do not participate in Black Friday. Sub-Zero, Thermador, Jenn-Air, Wolf, La Cornue, and Miele do not drastically discount their products for Black Friday.

Many of them already have their rebate programs.

  • Thermador has the One-Two-Free with free dishwashers and hoods for qualifying purchases.
  • Jenn-Air has a similar discount.
  • Miele does have $200 off their compact laundry and one of their most popular dishwashers, as well as a $200 installation credit.
  • Wolf has a $650 rebate on their induction stoves.

However, you can wait if you are considering most premium brands.

What Products Are Not Heavily Promoted?

You can probably figure that professional (pro) ranges will not be heavily promoted by reading the previous section.

Wall ovens, ventilation, and cooktops have not changed much either with a few exceptions in Samsung mostly.

What Are The Best Appliance Brands To Consider For Black Friday?

The best appliance brands to consider for Black Friday are:

  • Samsung
  • KitchenAid
  • GE
  • Bosch

Samsung, the originators of Black Friday appliance promotions, has reduced pricing on its best-selling ranges, dishwashers, and refrigerators.

KitchenAid, for the first time during this Black Friday, reduced prices on their best-selling ranges and dishwashers with some sizable discounts. We will show you the best products to consider later in this article.

This is our first full year selling GE, but they have some excellent Black Friday prices, as does Bosch in specific categories.

How Do You Get The Best Deals On Black Friday?

The key to getting the best deal is combining the best manufacturer and retailer rebates. You may see some worthwhile gift cards, delivery, or install specials, then add that to manufacturers’ discounts.

Your best Black Friday deals will combine all these rebates.

One word about buying appliances: Make sure they have it in stock, especially if you need it now. Availability has been an issue in past Black Fridays.

Always check reviews to see if the store can execute delivery and installation after the sale.

What Are The Best Deals For Black Friday?

These sales are manufacturer-sponsored so that you will see these prices throughout the country. You have to check availability in your area (I know I keep saying that).

Here are the 23 best deals in no particular order.

Should You Wait To Purchase Appliances?

There are also no additional incentives to buy the most premium brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf, Jenn-Air, Thermador, and Miele, with some exceptions.

You should also not buy for a project 4 months out, especially if you have to take delivery.

Should You Buy Appliances On Black Friday?

If your project is planned to be started within 100 days, then it's a good bet that you'll save the most money now and save yourself from price increases and generally poor availability.

For certain products, Black Friday is the best time to buy an appliance. Look at retailers' promotions as the price differentiator because lower prices are uniform.

Just make sure they can execute their promises after the sale.

For people shopping at Yale: Wait until the 29th, if you can, for the added store promotions. If not, the manufacturer's pricing is still pretty compelling.

A few review sites have placed this at the bottom of their articles. So here is our take: Our mission is to find reliable products for you to buy. Other review sites may say this as well.

However, we don’t love every product. Quite frankly, it costs us way too much money in repair costs to support less reliable brands.

In fact, we sell fewer brands than most appliance stores. Here is why:

We feel it is our responsibility to repair your appliances after you buy them.

We now have 30 service technicians, each averaging 8-10 calls a day Monday through Friday, plus another 110 on Saturday. That's over 30,000 service calls logged in one year.

The labor rates of fixing an appliance do not come close to the true cost in any product’s warranty period.

That is why no major retailer has a service department. It costs too much labor, money and time.

Our Blog is a bit different than most others you will read. We cannot write glowing reviews of unreliable products.

Hopefully, the bloggers and organizations who write such glowing product reviews for every brand consider servicing these products first. Only then they will understand the consequences of their marketing.

My goal has always been simple: I want Yale to be the best retail experience anywhere. I have tried to create a compelling environment for customers and employees alike.
