I have been looking for decent LED outside lights for probably 5 years. LED is certainly gaining acceptance inside your house, but it's even more practical outside your house.
How good are these lights?
With a 50,000 hour lamp life, you can leave the lights on 10 hours a day every day for 13.7 years...so you will probably never change a light again.
At 32 Watts, they project over 1,000 lumens or almost double a 75 watt bulb at 615 lumens. In other words, the outside of your house will be brighter with less than half the wattage. BTW, Lumens is a measure of total visible light. Wattage measures the rate of energy consumption. It is misleading for bulbs, because only 10% of the energy consumed by an incandescent bulb is light with 90% emitted as heat.
They are also fully dimmable, Dark Sky friendly (for California), with solid aluminum construction to weather the outside and are fairly priced.

As I said in the beginning, these lights are finally very worthwhile products.
I also think this illustrates almost how outdated incandescent lighting is with only 10% efficiency and a 750 hour to 2000 hour lifespan. Now with LED technology finally improving, you will save energy, time and money not replacing bulbs.
It seems that every appliance review has nothing but glowing comments about almost every product, yet you read customer reviews and they are almost universally bad.
We are here to fill in the disconnect. We'll give you the best features, and the drawbacks as well, including reliability based on over 37,000 calls performed by our service team just last year. Our goal is to give you ALL the information so you know what's right for you.
