Stainless steel has really dominated the middle to premium appliance market. One of the main benefits is you do not have to worry about matching cabinets or counters with stainless steel as it coordinates with almost every type of wood and tile.
However, with white cabinets being a popular design trend, you might be looking for an alternative to stainless steel appliances…or maybe you are just sick of stainless and want a different finish?
Well, fortunately, there are still white options at different prices. We will look at a few different options, so you have a decent alternative to the ubiquitous stainless steel.

Big name value brands such as: Frigidaire, GE, Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, Maytag, Whirlpool and Amana all make white appliances.
If you are looking to go with a luxury brand, Miele and Viking produce appliances in a white finish for a limited selection of wall ovens and dishwashers.
Amana is a brand in the Whirlpool family. If you are looking for a basic appliance package for a good price this is a great option in white. I really like that you can get a kitchen for under $1,500 after rebates that has a smooth top electric range and a dishwasher with hidden controls.
Frigidaire is a great value brand owned by the Electrolux Corporation. Frigidaire makes 3 tiers of products: basic, gallery, and professional. The Gallery series is a top seller because it offers many high-end features like convection, full size refrigeration, and hidden control dishwasher for a good price.
The KitchenAid has a nice slide-in range and counter depth refrigerator with decent features without spending a fortune on more upscale brands.
We do not sell Viking anymore as of 2013, but they have a full array of white appliances.
Miele also has a new Brilliant White line. Back when I started in 1986, white on white was the premium finish until stainless became dominant. I actually really like this finish, but in contemporary white kitchens only.
Searching for white appliances can be frustrating due to limited availability and options however you can find white appliances for basic, affordable luxury, and premium kitchens.
If you want to order white appliances keep this in mind.
