French doors have become increasingly popular due to their unique style, they also offer more cubic footage in the refrigerator and less in the freezer than the side by side refrigerator.

They outsell side by side refrigerators by about 13-1, and every company manufactures a French door refrigerator including GE, LG, Samsung, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, and their subsidiaries KitchenAid, Maytag and Amana\among others.

Though similar to Whirlpool, Jenn-Air, and Maytag, this KitchenAid is more attractive with better handles and adjustable shelves. This refrigerator is 25 cubic feet.

It is interesting to see a premium brand so inexpensive.  It is on the smaller side at 20 cubic feet. However, it compensates because it can be packaged with some decent appliances.

Samsung RF28HFEDBSR- $1599

This is a very interesting refrigerator with dual cooling, meaning the moist air of the refrigerator does not mix with the dry air of the freezer. So, your food will taste more fresh, especially in the freezer.

Jenn-Air JFC2290REM - $2399frurygegsjwc8.png

Jenn-Air was the first upscale counter depth French door on the market about 10 years ago. It is still a decent refrigerator with an interior icemaker. This refrigerator is also part of our best-selling package. This model now has LED lights and concealed hinges.

Final Thoughts

Many of the refrigerators are almost identical like Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air. Frigidaire is surprisingly reliable. Samsung has excellent features at a relatively inexpensive price.

Counter depth is a good option especially for remodeling, because it does not protrude from the cabinets.

You may want to look at the refrigerator as part of an overall package as Bosch and Frigidaire have traditionally strong packages discounts.
