The average household range is far more powerful than 10 years ago with a 30 inch pro range topping out at almost 70,000 BTUs. With hotter cooking becomes a need for a higher blower speed and better designed hood to move the air.

Miele vs. Jenn-Air Speed Ovens (Reviews/Ratings/Prices)

A somewhat new appliance that is becoming very popular in kitchens across America is what is known as the speed oven. Speed ovens are the combination of a microwave and an oven as one appliance, similar to the features of a convection microwave but with the aesthetics of an oven.

You can use the microwave for the reheating, defrosting and cooking features. Add in the convection oven features of browning, baking and roasting and you essentially have a super, speedy cooking appliance. They offer the convenient ability to either separate or combine the features of both. These ovens really excel by combining the speed of the microwave with the baking quality of the convection feature.

Several manufacturers offer this option in their current line but we will be comparing two of our more popular selling models, Jenn-Air and Miele.

Viking D3 vs Miele MasterChef Wall Oven (Reviews/Ratings/Prices)

Viking and Miele is not a frequent appliance comparison. Miele has the best dishwasher and washer whereas Viking's forte is professional cooking. In other words, both are strong in different areas. Wall ovens are the exception. Both are recent. The Miele MasterChef has been around for only 5-6 years. D3 is brand new although their Designer series has been around for awhile.
